Hi, my name is Claire. I am a dog owner, an appreciator of all dogs and ​breeds (there are no bad dogs!), and having previously had a rescue dog, ​I am committed to protecting the welfare of all dogs with patience, ​care and compassion.


This is why I started The Bark Boutique. A place where your furry ​friends can have my undivided attention to help them to relax and ​enjoy the grooming process, whilst also giving you the peace of mind ​that your precious pup is cared for as if they were my own.


I am City and Guilds qualified, I have hands-on experience with many ​coat types and breeds, I am fully insured and qualified in Canine First ​Aid, so you can rest assured your treasured family member is in a safe ​pair of hands!

Bath & Blow Dry

A deep clean in the hydrobath which allows the soothing ​bubbles to penetrate the coat and cleanse the skin. ​Repeated using premium products best suited to your dogs ​coat and condition to leave them squeaky clean and smelling ​delicious.

A thorough dry and brush through to remove any tangles ​ready to go home looking and feeling their absolute best!

Full Groom

The full groom starts with a bath and blow dry leaving ​your dog squeaky clean and free from tangles, followed by ​nail trimming and a hygiene clip.


Your perfect pooch will then be trimmed and styled in the ​style of your choosing (if suitable) or to accentuate the ​best features of their breed, ready to impress all their ​furry friends!

Sleepy Puppy

Puppy Introduction

(Available to fully vaccinated pups from 11 weeks up to 6 months)

My puppy Intro package includes:


  • A visit to the salon to experience the smells, sounds ​and equipment along with a helping of treats (owner ​provided) for positive reinforcement
  • The next visit is a bath, blow dry and nail trim.
  • The final visit is a full groom and a certificate for ​them to show off at the park.


Prices

There are many factors which can influence the price of the groom for each individual dog, from ​the condition of the coat to the age or the behaviour of the dog. For this reason, I only give ​from list prices, but will give you a more accurate price once I have met and assessed your dog.

What to expect?

I like to take a few minutes when you arrive to ask you about your dog, so I can make sure I know ​all I need about your pet, to be able to provide the most comfortable grooming experience possible.


I will ask if your dog has any medical conditions I need to be aware of? If they have any ​behavioural or aggression issues? and up to date contact information for emergency contacts and ​whoever will be collecting.


If you have already registered as a client through Savvy, you can update all this information on ​your pet profile before your appointment so I have the most current information for your pet to ​hand and I can just quickly confirm it with you on arrival.

I may also use a comb to check the condition of your dogs ​coat to be able to accurately confirm the price of the groom ​for your dog.


Some coat types are extremely high maintenance and when ​things like weather, lifestyles, time, and if your dog is willing ​to be groomed get in the way, it doesn't take long for your ​dog's coat to become matted!


If a coat is severely matted and causing the dog discomfort, ​we may suggest a de-matting service. If this is the case for ​your dog, you may be required to sign a de-matting waiver to ​allow me to clip your dogs matted coat off for the comfort ​and welfare of your precious pup.

If you are unable to make your appointment, please contact me at your ​earliest convenience to cancel or rebook. I am an independent business so every ​cancellation or no-show impacts me significantly. I completely understand that ​life can throw things at you at any time, but all I ask for is as much notice as ​possible so I can offer your appointment to other clients.
